Yesterday the Delegate for the Environment and Sustainability of the Jerez City Council, Africa Becerra, presented to the public the new vehicles for waste considered hazardous that are generated in any private address. These vehicles have the mission of collecting all the waste that the people of Jerez separate from the garbage itself, and that they have to throw it in containers dedicated to it but that are perhaps in remote areas of their homes.
To facilitate the dumping of this waste, mobile vehicles will be placed from time to time in places in our city. Specifically, they will begin their work in the Maternity Roundabout, for all the residents of the area of Saint Joaquin, and in the Moreno Avenue Mendoza for the inhabitants of San Telmo.
From these first two locations, and throughout the year, the vehicles will visit different places and neighborhoods in our city to collect the different waste considered hazardous. Right now, the Environment Delegation It is preparing a series of brochures where it will be informed of the dates and places that the mobile vehicles will visit.
The waste that is considered dangerous and that will be collected by these vehicles are aerosols, mobile phones, shoes, medicines, fluorescents, containers and remains of paints, varnishes, lacquers, vegetable oil, X-rays, small appliances, toner and printing consumables, computer waste, clothing and textiles, flat glass and small amounts of debris, batteries and batteries. That is, everything that can later be recycled or that can cause damage to the environment.
